Cleaning your epoxy Floor

Epoxy and Urethane

The best way to clean a epoxy flooring , Polyaspatic flooring, or Urethane flooring involves using products that won't damage the finish while effectively removing dirt and grime. Here's a simple method:

Sweep or Dust Mop

Start by removing loose dirt and dust with a soft-bristle broom or a microfiber dust mop. This prevents scratching when you move to wet cleaning your epoxy flooring .

Mop with a Neutral Cleaner

- Use a pH-neutral cleaner specifically designed for epoxy flooring, urethane or polyaspartic finishes. Avoid harsh chemicals, ammonia, or vinegar as they can dull or strip the finish over time.

- Mix the cleaner according to the manufacturer's instructions. Usually, you'll dilute it with warm water.

- Use a well-wrung mop to avoid leaving excess water on the floor, which could lead to water spots or damage over time.

Spot Cleaning for Tough Spots

- For stubborn spots or marks, you might need a slightly stronger cleaner, a degrease like Simple Green. A mild dish soap can sometimes be used for this purpose, but test on a small area first on your epoxy flooring

- Use a soft cloth or sponge to gently scrub the spot. I like to use a Magic Eraser to get tough spots like shoes scuffs
